Urban

"Running Fast"

Asher loves to run. He runs up and down our hallway. He also loves to watch his dad run on our treadmill. If Asher is awake and Reed is running he has to be in the room watching the whole time. This particular day he brought his snack in and watched as he ate. He often sits there and exclaims, "Daddy running fast!" A great ego booster for Reed to have an audience. :)

After Reed is done, it is Asher's turn. He gets the Ipod on his arm and runs in place. He repeatedly says "Asher running fast".

Asher's Imagination

Asher made a house under our clothes drying rack the other day. He had fun with it most of the day insisting that his daddy be under there as well.

8 weeks old

This hefty guy was 8 weeks old on Sunday. Hard to believe Urban is this old already. He certainly isn't built like his brother. Asher better watch out, because his younger brother may surpass him in size before we know it. :)

All Cheeks

We decided Urban's forearms are bigger than Asher's already. He's already showing a fist of intimidation.

Construction Zone

Our apartment complex is a construction zone these days. Last week Asher watched a well being dug in the middle of our complex. This week they are putting in natural gas lines. I'm not holding out that we will have natural gas this year though, because a whole bunch of coal was dropped off the other day. So maybe they are just planning for the future. But anyway, Asher enjoyed his front row seat to all of this digging.

Asher is a big fan of Bob the Builder, so this was like a live show for him.

This kept him enamored for a part of our morning.

A picture of some of the work going on outside.

Akdamar Island

We went out to the island with some friends. It was a beautiful day.

Our friends: Kate, Lynn and Dan

Dan and Asher taking a rest by the Armenian Church.

Lunch on the Boat

We enjoyed a new experience this week. We tried fried fish sandwiches. The sandwiches are made on this boat and you eat them on the upper deck sitting on pillows. It was a good time!

The fish are fried on this big metal plate in oil. Around the edge are peppers.

Once the fish is fried they put it between bread with onions, tomatoes, and peppers.
Dan and Lynn are enjoying the lunch.

Here we are on the upper deck. Urban was not very happy at that moment.
